Our mission is to promote positive change in the local communities by equipping people for Christ-like living.
Come see the impact of changed lives and bright futures:
Good Samaritan Ministries (GSM) is a 501(c) non-profit serving the local community through supporting education, helping lives and building futures, all with the heart to see lives transformed by the Gospel and cultivated through community to enact and sustain long-term growth.
In 2021, GSM completed construction on the Oerter Industrial Arts Center to offer job training to teens and young adults.
Good Samaritan Ministries started in 2000 by a small group from the Collinsville Church of the Nazarene. From purchasing a small home in Washington Park as the center of operations in 2003, to the construction of the current ministry center in 2006, GSM has seen many lives impacted through the Gospel lived out as opportunities to support the community grew.

GSM has partnered with Cherry Street Roasters to offer house blend coffee. Choose this medium roast of Brazilian beans from the South Minas region in whole bean or ground, regular or decaf, and a portion of the proceeds will go directly to GSM Metro. Ship anywhere to the US or choose local pickup (Columbia, IL).
The work and impact of GSM happens because of many ministry partners, from financial donors and churches to volunteers and students. No matter the level of your experience or availability, there's an opportunity for you!
Build a relationship with kids Pre-K to 6th during the after-school program. Help and encourage them with their homework, play games and more.
Partner with a local teenager for life discipleship. Develop incredible relationships as you help impact the next generation firsthand by opening up opportunities specific to the individuals and families.
Lead a small group for adults and walk life together with people from all walks of life.
Donate new or gently used clothing for all ages and seasons.
