Good Samaritan Ministries started in 2000 by a small group from the Collinsville Church of the Nazarene. From purchasing a small home in Washington Park as the center of operations in 2003, to the construction of the current ministry center in 2006, GSM has seen many lives impacted through the Gospel lived out as opportunities to support the community grew.
Read the ministry's six core values:
We help people find their God-given identity and purpose through following Jesus Christ.
We equip family members to care for one another to change cultural cycles of dysfunction.
We foster loving neighborhoods to direct people towards making wise choices for the present and future.
We desire to work in cooperation, not competition, with the community to make lasting positive change.
We develop leaders from within the community to sustain and further lasting positive change.
Following Jesus' pattern, we strive to care for the whole person beyond just physical and spiritual.
The work and impact of GSM happens because of many ministry partners, from financial donors and churches to volunteers and students. No matter the level of your experience or availability, there's an opportunity for you!
